About Acrylic Paints

Acrylic paints are extremely versatile, fast drying and can be used straight out of the tube. 

Other media like oil and pastels can be applied on top of dried acrylic surface and can be used in a matte finish or high gloss finish. Acrylic paint contains pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion, allowing them to be tinned in water and become water resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted with water or altered with acrylic gels, other media or pastes the finished acrylic painting can look a lot like a watercolor or an oil painting. The finished project can also have a distinctive appearance unlike other media.
